What's in it. How much. Why.
"Fragrance" is one word. Under FDA cosmetic regulations, it's treated as a trade secret — which means a single ingredient entry can legally conceal dozens of undisclosed chemicals. Most brands don't volunteer it.
"Naturally derived" has no legal definition. Neither does "clean," "non-toxic," or "gentle." They're unregulated marketing terms. There's no standard a brand has to meet to use any of them on a label or in an ad.
Ingredients are listed in descending order of concentration — that part is required. Percentages aren't. You can see what's in a formula, just not how much of anything is actually there.
